Why did I buy this? This should be a better mount than my Classic LX200. At f8 along with focal reducers this will give me some variety for imaging between this and the AP Traveler.  From a tech standpoint lots of interesting innovations (see below).  If  it doesn't work out I guess there is always the AP Mount waiting list.  Hope to get it in the Observatory this weekend (8/6/2005).

Carbon Fiber Tube, GPS, Built in dew heater, fan for cooling with internal and external temp sensors.  There is a built in USB 2.0 3 port hub and serial port below the eyepiece on the back of the scope. You connect to your computer at the base.  Most of my imaging equipment will interface directly to the back of the scope, eliminating cords that can be tangled when slewing.
